key fob programmer - need it

Hey guys, just bought HHR without a key fob. Found one on eBay for $8 and a programmer almost $50.

Coud some one ship me the programmer - I will send it back after programming and I'll pay for the shipping.

Still interested - whats inside programmers: could it be a few resistors or smth like that?

Buying a Dorman fob would have saved a whole lot of problems and delay. But some have had problems with low battery warnings as per

You're not programming the fob. You're programming the car.

Very doubtful that will work. Try it out, let us know.

And sometimes you get exactly what you paid for.

Always believe every generic article on wikihow. We don't know anything worthwhile.

Of course, reading the entire article would help, especially the very first Q&A.

I just asked, cz I used similar way to my Camaro and it works.

Nevermind.
I believe a lot of people bought Dorman programmer on eBay or somwhere else and don't use it now. I would give to some one if I had.

Is there some difference beetween 13736 and 13737?
13736
goes with a fob that has remote start button. 13737 doesn't have that button.
May I use 13737 for programming a fob with remote start? Will it work?

The difference is the fob case. Look on your glovebox door; you will probably see a AP3 code on the label that means you do have remote start.
3 button fobs can remote start if you push lock+panic. The connections are on the circuit board. Be sure to get a Genuine GM fob, the Dorman is not always Genuine GM.
