Is the key fob remote covered under warranty?

Going in for some warrenty work and TSBs this week.

I've noticed over the last few days, one of my key fob remotes seemed to be working sparatically. Sometimes it locks and unlocks the doors and other times it did not. Thinking it might be the battery, I opened it to check the battery and possibly replace it.

I was surprised to see that 2 of the 3 prongs where the battery clamp connected to the circuit board were loose and no longer soldered.

Does anyone know if the HHR key pob is covered under warranty?

I guess I could attempt to try to attach them with a soldering gun but it is going to require a sharp fine soldering point and a very steady hand.

I think I read someplace that someone did get one replaced free of charge because it also was sporadic.

Thank God!!!

It has some really small connectors and wasn't sure if I'd be able to get the soldiering iron into those little tabs...

Thanks again for the quick reply with info.

Same thing happened to one of mine. Took 3 minutes to fix. Good to know for the next time though.

If the battery is going dead the DIC will tell you.
