Have you gotten it to crank yet ?
I watched your vid on FB . What sensor tells the car the clutch is depressed ? Just a thought and just asking .... Greg |
Sweet Jesus in heaven I've found it!!! The reason the computer was off, the source of the leftover 13mm nut.... It was a bloody ground wire, I'm guessing for the ecm specifically. It's just a small post terminal connector that juts out of the harness half way to the starter and reaches over to a post on either the engine or trans I didn't care to notice lol I just it and the nut on the post and redid everything back up, it was tucked close to the harness and thats why I didn't see it. So now I am getting info from the ECM on the dash, and when I turn the key the starter solenoid actually clicks. I'm thinking now that the battery hasn't got enough charge to start, waiting on the wife to get home so I can jump it with the Aztek.
Oh and to answer you question Greg, the clutch safety switch is at the top of the pedal mechanism. |
So, evidently it's not good to have left over parts? I guess I'll have to start being more careful.

that's AWESOME! glad you got it resolved, now, go out and enjoy that HHR again! |
Absolutely resolved!! Man having a new clutch is a beautiful thing, she pulls like new. It's also amazing how much turmoil one wire can cause.
