Location of the ambient engine temperature sensor.... Help!

This one little sensor is making my MAF sensor go out and is killing my turbo. The sensor acts up and the MAF sensor kills the turbo, I just found the root problem this morning but I have been unable to locate the sensor on the car itself. 2008 HHR SS

You don't mean the ambient air temperature sensor--that's the one that provides the temperature readout on the D.I.C. You mean the Intake Air Pressure and Temperature Sensor. It's located on the charge air cooler outlet pipe.

Can't remember the code but the computer said ambient.... The guys at the parts counter did know what I was talking about though and that would be the sensor we just could not find it

You need to get a correct code and post it before you replace anything.

I'll have to wait for the check engine light to come back on, this is just a pain in the ass

But the air temp sensor should be on the passenger side front frame horn behind the fog light hole. In that general area, anyway. On my 2011 LT they moved to the driver side in the lower grill hole.

We can't be talking about that one. What would that sensor have to do with the MAF sensor/turbo?

It was the original Question that nobody wanted to answer. That' why I put "but" at the beginning. I have been taught that ignoring a direct question was bad manners, if if it is the wrong question.

Not trying to argue nor ignore the original question. I attempted to clarify which sensor in post #2.

Now that I know which sensor it really is in trying to recreate the problem so I can have the diagnostics done again, but I have gone all over the air intake from top to bottom and can only find one sensor that being the MAF right on top going from the air box to the turbo, am I overlooking the intake pressure sensor?
