hi all....stupid question
Hi everybody, I just found this site while I was searching for a key fob for my 06 LT. I just bought this car a bit ago and I absolutely love it, except for the fact I did not get a fob for my keyless. Setting the alarm with the switch when I get out ultimately makes me feel like I am breaking into my own ride when I get back in with the key. SO, for my dumb question, how do I know if I have the remote start on my car? I know I have keyless entry but thats it. Thanks ahead of time, and look forward to more posts soon.
To the site! If your HHR is an automatic, it has remote start. All HHRs built with autos have factory remote start.

What is the logic behind not offering the key fob on a rental? It's standard equipment. Do you think the rental companies got a discount for purchasing HHRs this way?
I think I'd call the zone office and see if these HHRs can be programmed to use the key fob. You only have one exterior lock on the entire vehicle in which to put the key. I'd want the key fob as a backup in case that lock gets frozen or malfunctions.

Dont know what it was before I bought it, traded my pickup truck for it at dealership. If it was a rental they took pretty good care of itlow miles and looks great I did manage to find (after looking in the manual) that I can turn it on or off on the computer, that a good sign isn't it? Thank for the responses

What year is your HHR ? Is it a LS, 1LT or 2LT? We have to have pic or we can,t Help NO NO LOL LOL Most of the early rentals did not have remote start, But some of the later 1lT & 2LT did. I would run the vin. on carfax to see. Ask the dealer about it.
Also I found my key fobs in spare tire well with the cargo net and front tag holder and a new owner manual.after I had got new ones. might want to look there, My HHR was a rental
