Mechanic in LA/Hollywood

Can anyone refer a Mechanic in LA/Hollywood area. My Son’s 05 HHR has Charging system light on. Battery is newer. Had it to Dealer & said it fine. I know there is a trick to replacing the alternator.

Very easy job. The hardest part is getting the belt on & off, still very easy. Remove some of the plastic expansion anchors, maybe a small screw or two from the right front splash shield. Jack up the right front side of the car, support with Jack stand. Pull back the splash shield a bit. Then refer to post #40 in this thread. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/www....page=4&t=31446

Welcome to the site, the alternator is fairly easy to replace, as mentioned above

But first, you should let your auto parts store perform a free battery load test and charging system test.

Mechanic in West Hollywood

Any recommendations for a Mechanic in the West Hollywood Area? My son a 05 HHR THAT HAS A P0300 code.
I think he maybe needs coil pack & Cam sensor from a stalling issue. Thanks !

Still no such thing as a 2005 HHR.
P0300 usually has something to do with the timing chain.

Which engine is in your 2006 HHR? A P0300 code just acknowledges there is a misfire detected.
