Motor Mount Question

My 2006 HHR 1LT (200K miles) with manual transmission is doing a lot of wheel-hopping on takeoff, so I suspect the motor mount (on the front of the engine) is shot.

I did a search of the forum and found suggestions to get whatever is on ebay (cheapest), and also a suggestion to buy the AC Delco part because there are problems with the other brands.

What is the latest on this. Anchor brand on Rock Auto is $42, while the AC Delco part is $80.

Thanks
Steve

I dont think the AC Delco is twice the quality to support double the price. My 2006 has 236K, and I went with the cheaper option, based on the age of the car and its market worth is pretty negligible at this point, so i wasn't looking to spend a lot on something like a motor mount. I have the Anchor in mine and its been fine since installed in March.

I’m still in the AC Delco camp. But for a manual , hmmm I might go polyurethane, like TTR mounts.

As long as it keeps running (or has serious rust).

My cars usually go to the junkyard after I am finished with them.
