My first problem - loud rattle in rear - fixed
Had my first problem on my 5 month old HHR. There was a loud rattle type sound coming from rear of car. I thought perhaps floor in trunk was not tight, removed it, still rattled, removed spare tire and tire cover, still rattled. Could not locate it. It was weird, did not rattle much when going over bumps or at speeds over 30. I opened tailgate, just a bit, just unlatched really, and it stopped. To the dealer I went, knowing it was the tailgate.
What a GREAT experience at Dealer. Had previously made appointment. You drive in and are greated by a guy in jacket, white shirt, tie. He takes VIN number and miles and he goes to your team (they have 3 different teams each led by a service advisor, I'm the Blue team). I'm supposed to stand by car until advisor comes to me. While waiting (Brief wait), another guy pops the hood, adds washer fluid, wipes off engine, wipes off headlights and tail lights (upstate new york winter grime). Advisor approaches with lap top, reviews info, we go over the car at the tailgate, sends me on my way.
I come back 4 hours later, car is ready, tailgate needed adjustment..the latch on floor of car which matches color of car, was mounted a bit off line, they just had to straighten it out. You go to cashier, who takes a walkie talkie and calls out your car number (like 198 HHR). You get copy of warranty repair, walk out the door and someone brings the car around to you..there she was all washed up too. And best of all, no more rattle.

Sounds like a mighty good dealership. I wish my dealer was up to those kind of standards. Mine's not great but they are okay. I would think these guys would do a lot of business with service such as that.
