Need to adjust rear hatch latch oer striker
Searched but can't find too much on this. My rear hatch has a rattle and I want to adjust either striker or the latch . before i start removing plastic has anyone done this ? which one or are both adjustable?
Thanks |
Before you start adjusting this latch I suggest you get some good grease and lube it.
Note that the latch lube should not go on the top of the floor U striker but on the part of the U bar that faces toward the rear of the HHR. Thats where the latch contacts the U Bar. SF |
Adjustment is done with the 2 pillow blocks on the sides of the opening. you loosen it them up and try for fitment then tighten back up.

Rear hatch
The pillow blocks will tighten it up, but the problem that I have, is that the hatch doesn't pull in enough. I have wind noise in the back seat. I need the hatch to be tight AND seal properly. Any Ideas on that?

If adjusting the blocks and the hinges and the latch don't work the gasket may need repair/repositioning/replacing.
