Ok here it goes. I bought a motor and im going through the whole thing prior to dropping it in my HHR. I just need help with setting up the timing chains. I would like to completely retime the entire motor including the balance/water pump chain. I havent taken the balancer chain off yet but it deff. needs a tensioner. If its not difficult i'd like to just get a new chain and tensioner and just redo the whole thing. but mainly i need info on doing a complete timing of cam/crank chain. i was playing around with the motor and turned the crank without the chain hooked up. I know this was a bad move but i made sure the valves were clear and turned it very slowly as to not bash the valves. So long story short... (never is).. I need to know how to basically retime the motor as if I did a complete rebuild. Can't find anything on this anywhere. Im pretty sure i'll have to take the cams off. Hope I didnt babble too much.
