Oil leak....

Yes it does but like you said that TSB is not for your engine. Maybe it was a rear main seal they thought was leaking. I think you need a second opinion regardless. Boyd Chevrolet had a great reputation in the 80's and 90's, but I don't know anything about City Chevrolet.

Thanks

So I got a second quote from another Chevy dealer.... these guys seemed a lot better.... but still without a definate diagonsis either crankcase gasket, rear main seal or maybe even the rear oil galley plugs soooo I had the mechs put in the oil dye and hopefully Saturday I will have an answer .... also I should be getting a response from GM after my phone call so maybe this will all be free or discounted....

Dude, how much did you pay for this car and where did you buy it? 71k is hella mileage for an '06 on the used market. That warranty price is also out of sight! You should really consider getting an aftermarket warranty if you're having issues already, not to mention the very high mileage for model year.

Look for a warranty that has a per-visit, not per-repair deductible--even if the deductible is a little higher. That way you can get a lot of stuff repaired under one deductible. Also, make sure it's a named-exclusion policy. By that, I mean a warranty that covers everything except items that are specifically named in the warranty agreement.

Was this resolved? And what exactly was the problem. I have an '06 2.4 5spd with "almost" 36k miles on it and just noticed some oil on the garage floor the past couple days.
Any help will be appreciated. As I don't have much time to deal with the dealer, I'd rather try an diagnose it myself before I bring it to them. Problem is the 700 miles remaining on the warranty will probably be completed within 2 weeks.
