Yes it does but like you said that TSB is not for your engine. Maybe it was a rear main seal they thought was leaking. I think you need a second opinion regardless. Boyd Chevrolet had a great reputation in the 80's and 90's, but I don't know anything about City Chevrolet.

Dude, how much did you pay for this car and where did you buy it? 71k is hella mileage for an '06 on the used market. That warranty price is also out of sight! You should really consider getting an aftermarket warranty if you're having issues already, not to mention the very high mileage for model year.

I paid 8800 for her at a shady chevy dealership apparently, the previous owner was a President of a health equipment company and communted in to work like 50 miles each way... I have every record of all the maintenance done on it the car was kept in perfect condition and has every bell and whistle except Onstar... I've been shopping around for a warranty can anyone reccomend a good company??

Look for a warranty that has a per-visit, not per-repair deductible--even if the deductible is a little higher. That way you can get a lot of stuff repaired under one deductible. Also, make sure it's a named-exclusion policy. By that, I mean a warranty that covers everything except items that are specifically named in the warranty agreement.

Was this resolved? And what exactly was the problem. I have an '06 2.4 5spd with "almost" 36k miles on it and just noticed some oil on the garage floor the past couple days.

Any help will be appreciated. As I don't have much time to deal with the dealer, I'd rather try an diagnose it myself before I bring it to them. Problem is the 700 miles remaining on the warranty will probably be completed within 2 weeks.
