Oil in spark plug well

I recently changed my plugs @ 62000 miles and discoverd some oil in the plug well, has anyone seen this? I was also wondering if my plug boot could be effected by oil inside of it? Thanks

It happens. Most likely it's the gaskets around the spark plug wells under the valve cover that need to be replaced. Not a major repair nor expense. The spark plug boot should just need a cleaning and will most likely be just fine.

X3. The valve cover gasket is actually a multi-piece thing with O-rings at the spark plug holes, if it has ever been removed somebody may not have replaced them correctly.

A sloppy oil change is very likely too!!!
