Onstar diagnostic
 
I got a check engine light yesterday and it's still on today. I let my Onstar expire a few weeks ago after the year was up. Would Onstar still be able to tell me the problem code or would they not even bother to answer the mirror now? lol.

Do I need to worry about the CEL? It still drives fine. My pickup would do that a couple times a year and then it'd go a way after a few days. I never bothered to investigate it. But it was 10 years old and this is only 1...

They might tell you.

Unless it's a loose gas cap and you have now tightened the cap, it will not simply go away.

They can check it after you pay. Most chain parts stores can check it for free though.
