I'm new here my granny wagon go up to 237!!!! In devore California!!!! I bought her 5 months ago 96,too miles also my fan stays on when engine is off and sounds like they are run off!!! I only drove her around town to pick up prescription? :(

You need to find a mechanic quickly. The engine is overheating, severe damage is possible.

Maybe it's a "California thing" but I really don't understand the post above. Is it a question ? What kind of car ? What year ?

Did you open the hood to see if there was coolant in the overflow tank? When was the coolant last changed?

Welcome, the Dexcool needs to be replaced every 5 years, when was it last changed ?
If you don’t know or have PO service records, have the cooling system drained and refilled.
