Alright, I have all of the parts and materials in to replace the timing chain. I'll be doing the repair tomorrow and hopefully documenting the process.
Hopefully I'll be back with good news soon.

I you don't pull the head, at least give the bolts a little twist.

Those bolts will stretch as they are torque to yield so not a good suggestion! This isn’t a 60’s small block Chevy

Alright, the install took about 9 hours yesterday. Had a bud come help with some stuff and just generally be supportive. Used a Cloyes timing chain kit and a new gasket for about $250 total. And, she lives!!
Apparently the black front guide exploded. The engine must have run a goo bit with the guide busted bc there was a good bit of wear on metal components. Replaced everything and put a new serpentine belt on for good measure and she runs better than ever.

I think next on my list for this vehicle is going to be a new head gasket and a radiator flush, along with some new struts front and back.
I appreciate all the advice and I'll be back soon with more questions!

I’m still suggesting to get the stronger front guide from ZZP and install it when you change the head gasket

to avoid that issue.

glad you got it fixed and there was no major damage.

If the black front guide shattered, unless you find EVERY piece, you would be well advised to pull the oil pan and get all the pieces and clear the oil screen.
