The fitting is kinda iffy. If we put the fitting from gauge on to tight it won’t read pressure. If we keep it alittle looser it picks up pressure. When I start it immediately it gets to 60psi. When I shut the engine off it drops to 10 psi pretty quick then stays at like 5 psi. This is with key off. I let the engine run for 30mins and also drove it around for 10-15mins after new MAF and no starting issues or check engine light so far.
Could be a pump issue but still getting both codes. Like I said we had to use this elbow fitting to connect to fuel rail then the hose fitting to that. If either were screwed to tight nothing happened. If we loosened them alittle pressure would jump to 60psi with it running and stay there. With engine completely off and key it dropped steadily. With key to run position the same. But started right up fine a ton of times and you can hear the pump. Taking MAF back since light just showed up again. No way it could be a leaky injector or bad one? I want to test ohms on VVT solenoids and figured I would pull plugs too and see if one is really soaked in gas or any of them.
Yeah thanks I know where it screws onto when we screwed it on there right away it started spraying gas. So we took it back off and we tried another fitting and it worked a little better but would leak and then if we put it on real tight it wouldn’t read any pressure . So if you untightened it a tiny bit it would stop leaking after seconds and then start reading pressure. This was from advance auto parts so maybe just the gauge set up didn’t work good for my car I don’t know.
Probably just buy the one we talked about as that was my thoughts gauge could have been dropped before. We both couldn’t believe the hassle to get it connected to the fuel rail. Rail had a ton of pressure sprayed all over. Not the best thing inside the engine haha.
