P0172 code with high alcohol %

I attached Onephoto is my ecm data ignition off second post has data with engine running.
I get random p0172 too rich bank one codes.
I have cleaned the maf.
I have a question. #1 O2 is very unstable , #2 O2 seldom drops below .750 v even while driving .
Do I have an O2 problem or a catalytic converter problem.?
Thanks for the help.

Your O2 voltages are normal, #1 should fluctuate, # 2 should be steady.

Have you looked at your flex pipe?

p0172 indicates that extra air is getting into the system someplace after the throttle body (since that is the only way the ECM can control fuel trim).

Alcohol adds oxygen to the fuel, Therefore the signals the ECM gets makes it think the alcohol content is high.

Other possibility include the EVAP valve (under the hood) is stuck open. Or a bad injector.

Try a search using your thread title as the term, you should get at least 2 identical threads. But, people seem to never come back with success stories.

Happened last year about this time . Alcohol % never has gone below 30% since I've been watching it.

Most of the time it's the EVAP has gone bad, they fail "open" mimicking a vacuum leak. Part costs under $20 takes 20 minutes to figure out the connectors.

To test it; remove the 2 hoses and blow through it. free flow is bad.

If your reader can graph it would be useful to graph the O2 voltages to get a high-low on the #1.

Some readers have an "O2 data" window that looks like a static sine wave with numbers that change. Do a lot of reading and you might come to understand what they mean.

Well the HHR is on its way to the dealer.
Posted a p0016 code last night after the dic messages of service esc and service traction.
I will post the outcome when I know . Thanks for ya'll's help.
I am actually still under extended warranty until 1/18
1/13/2015 Quick update. Timing Chain has slipped. This is a warranty repair. Power Train Warranty expires on Monday 1/18/2016

With the Timing issue i am wondering if the P0172 Code may have been caused by the Timing being slightly off and incomplete combustion due to Slightly Incorrect timing.
We will see, Updated later.
Thanks Old blue for the heads up on the P0016 code.

Well after the warranty repair for all new timing chain components I am happy to report that all of my problems have been resolved. the timing chain followers and tensinors were all replaced.
alcohol % has dropped steadily with each fill up. No more p0172 code.

just for the record nothing was replaced or repaired but the timing chain components.
so if your % goes up for no reason check the timing as it could be catastrophic if the chain goes at highway speeds.
