2007 Chevy Hhr 2.2l =Replaced timing chain and water pump.Put everything back together,now it won't start!Ran a scan,no problems detected!What could be keeping it from starting?

 

Timing off, camshafts not in time with the crankshaft.
explain why you changed the timing chain, did it break? Skip a tooth? Front guide broken?
If so, the pistons could have hit the valves and bent some of them.

 

You already have another thread about this same issue. Go back to that thread. There were suggestions posted.

 

The black guide was broken when I took off the timing cover,as well as the guide at the top was split where the chain was rubbing against it!

 

All 3 threads merged.

 

Then it is possible either there is a bent valve or two, the timing marks on the chain are off or, something didn’t get reconnected

 

How would I know a valve is bent?

 

So, is the engine turning over and not starting or is the battery still dead?

 

Engine is turning over and battery is fully charged(12.56V)

 

Not starting!
