P0700 and p0742 code and hard shifting.

need help on this problem. So my car drive fine most of the time but when I get on the highway or drive at high speeds for any decent amount of time my car starts to do this thing where it kinda revs high when stopping and when I take off to drive my car hard shifts in every gear, but when I cut my car off for a minute and restart the problem disappears. I had my codes read and got a p0700 and p0742. So far I’ve changed the camshaft actuator solenoids, the transmission output speed sensor, the throttle body, the map and maf sensors. So would the next step be to change the transmission solenoids of could there be a common wire problem I don’t know about/ can’t find. Please help lol

Those two codes point to shift solenoids as a major point to look at.
That's what I found out quickly.

It also says for that code:
"Torque converter clutch (TCC) solenoid failure"
My first findings are wrong and misleading. Sorry.

The P0700 just means there is a trans problem. The P0742 means the torque converter clutch is stuck on, which does not mean what it sounds like; it is a PWM circuit.
There is a possibility that the connector is soaked in oil causing insufficient current. There is a possibility the cooling lines to the radiator are pinched. plugged or twisted or the radiator part is clogged.
A transmission flush might be good enough to unclog things.

The codes do not mean "replace the solenoid", unless you prove it is bad by activating it with a Tech2 scanner (or similar) and it does not function.

The hard shifting is probably because of the CEL (Checck Engine Light) codes and NOT a result of the transmission problem. Many different CEL codes will trigger the hard shifting. It's just the GM program letting you know something wrong has been detected. They throw in the hard shifts to "encourage" you to have it looked at.

Having a code reader that can tell you the counts of the code can help.

Thanks for the help every one. I’m going to try and clean all my connections after work today to start. Like I said I’ve done: trans speed sensor (output), maf sensor, map sensor, throttle body, change my trans fluid, the camshaft exh and intake solenoids, clean air filter. When it started hard shifting that’s when I got the code read (p0742 and p0700) you also mention something with the radiator? Like I said the first thing ima do is clean my connections with elec cleaner and see what it does. I did notice a small oil leak so I hope that’s what caused it. #troubleshootingfun

Disconnect the negative terminal on the main battery before you tear into it!

Well yea. I wouldn’t spray something like that on a live wire, it’s just common sense to disconnect the battery....
