Panel, front door pops when the rear is open

Hey guys,
I think this is the right forum for this.
I have a 2011 panel and if you pop open the drivers rear door, get out, and close the front door it makes a loud popping sound like metal to metal. I don't see any damage, if you open the rear just a bit more nothing happens.
Just wondering if anyone has run into this.
Thanks.

Hi, nothing happening like that on my panel.. Look around the hinges, door catches & etc..

Should be some evidence of the issue.

sounds like ur hinge is rubbn(binding)..when the rear door is open its taking the bind out of it..is ur gap around the front fender and rear doors still even??door slightly off??

I don't see any damage, paint peeling, dents, etc.. The gap looks even all the way around. It seems like the rear edge of the front door hits the lip of the front edge, rear door. But like I said not seeing damage yet, its just annoying and sounds painful

sounds like a damaged hinge to me..does the door "drop" atall when it opens??open the door and grab it by the bottom corner..see if u have any up and down movement..dont lift hard..just wiggle it..see if the hinge moves..that popping sound is very common when having a damaged hinge..

There is no noticeable movement in either door. There does seem to be some discoloration at the point where the two doors are the closest when open/closing. Hard to describe, not the bright white as the rest of the door.

Mine does it too. Point of contact on front door has chipped a bit, no big thing. I've had problems with the front door losing a good seal for a long time now...nothing seems to help, so I'm waiting for the door to sag enough to warrant replacing the hinge itself. I'm sure that this is what's wrong in both cases.

Well I hate to say that i'm glad you have the same problem too, but at least its no big thing like you said. I'm not really concerned it just sounds bad.
