HHR Rough Idle On Start

Just about every time I start my 2006 Chevy HHR it starts rough and sometimes stalls on start, I have to start it and shut it off like 5 or 6 times before it gives me a normal start. Sometimes when I turn the key I get a fast clicking noise. When I let it idle for a minute while it’s doing this it will will bounce from around 1100 - 1200 rpms down to 700 - 800 rpms. It’s been doing this for about 2 weeks and I haven’t had time to get it to a shop. No check Engine light and it’s got about 180k miles. Thanks.

I just replaced the battery about 3 months ago and I don’t know if it’s the same thing but I had a check engine for an evap leak and my mechanic replaced all the fuel lines about 2 months and no longer have that problem.

Any other possible problem or is it pretty much just gonna be fuel pressure

Age of the battery doesn't tell the state of the battery or the alternator.

The "fast clicking noise" could be the starter solenoid begging for more voltage.

Possibly the fuel pressure, check it , it’s better to change the fuel pump at home or in the shop, not when it fails in a full tank of fuel at the side of the road.
