Power steering hasnt failed...yet

For the last week I have noticed when sitting still or moving very slow and turning the steering wheel it feels "jumpy" or "jittery" It will get a little harder to turn then smooth then harder and smooth again. Like every 1/4 inch the steering wheel moves. It does it in gravel and pavement. Does this sound like perhaps the motor is going out?

Thanks

No clicking that I have heard just the "stutter" in the steering wheel.

Not a good practice to be turning the steering when sitting still. It puts too much strain on the electric steering motor.
