power steering problem
 

I'am having constant problem of my power steering going out but if I keep the air on its ok and stays on longer but will eventually go out. I have to turn car off then it goes back on.:confused:

Possibly the power steering motor unit. The a/c keeps it cool I am guessing. You will need a new one.

Could this be the link to GM's steering recall??

It was all over the radio today while I was on the road. GM recalling steering columns in the Cobalt's. No mention of the HHR's.

Heard it too....gotta wonder...almost the same vehicle under the skin

And same part number for both motors. But the set up is different.

is hhr using electric steering like saturn vue, or is it belt driven?
