power steering problem

I'am having constant problem of my power steering going out but if I keep the air on its ok and stays on longer but will eventually go out. I have to turn car off then it goes back on.

Possibly the power steering motor unit. The a/c keeps it cool I am guessing. You will need a new one.

Could this be the link to GM's steering recall??

It was all over the radio today while I was on the road. GM recalling steering columns in the Cobalt's. No mention of the HHR's.
