Power window motor

The passenger window started to have problems rolling up. You had to play with the switch on either the passenger side or the switch on the drivers side. Currently unplugged to prevent window from going down and unable to get it back up. Are the motors prone to failure? Where is a good place to get a window motor from?

Take the door panel off and inspect the mechanical part. Make sure there's no broken or worn out bushings.

Or is it just that the motor doesn't want to run?

When you say "play with the switch", what do you mean? Is if hit or miss? Do you have to keep pressing it? Does it move at all?

Clean the switch contacts, no need to remove the door panel

This makes me lean to looking at the motor.
A wiring diagram would help as to how the wiring is run.

Here's a Youtube on how to change the window regulator:

I can see how a dirty switch contact could cause this. Cleaning the switch contacts is far easier than pulling the door panel. If that's not it, no real loss.

That would make sense if power (or ground) starts at the master switch and goes to the passenger switch.

Signal does, but power and ground do not.

Both switches go bad in the same way, at the same time? Unlikely, but not impossible.

Maybe something in the logic part of the passenger door switch.

The signal has to be power or ground.
What other signal would it be ?
Need to see a wiring diagram.

yes, you would have to keep pushing the switch. Passenger side eventually got to where it wouldn’t work at all. Drivers side you had to play with it and sometimes it would work.
