random stalling
I have an 06 2.2. I went to the auto store today and had a check engine light on it gave me the code p0133 if this is the same code as the 08. Then it is saying my o2 sensor was slow to respond so i reset the code to see if it would come back on. now the car stalls. All the dash lights still stay like it is still running. It stalled while my wife was driving it but i was not in the car to see what it felt like. the stall that happened in the driveway sounded like it ran out of gas. i am not sure if it is bad gas she just filled it or if the o2 sensor is the issue, or the fuel pump.
i have re started it it stalled on me one more time the next day. Now I can start it and it will run for 30 min just fine but the obd i bought says that the o2 sensor is a pending code but has not lit the check engine light yet. i have not driven it it out of the driveway yet. Since if it does stall i can't push it out of the road.
also it idles rough with the a/c on air filter is fine.
so far an 06 with 40k on it i have replaced thermostat, rear hatch latch, power steering motor should have been recalled with the others. next time no first year run cars give them 2 years to figure things out first i love the car but i do work on it like it has 200k

Sorry max your having an issue, but I'm sure the more experienced HHR Owners will be along soon to give your some great advice! Thats why I'm here to read, and learn as much about this car as I can. Once your trouble is resolved you'll be back to Lovin your HHR! Best wishes and good luck to a solid resolution!

I was working for chevy when they came out . I got my pressure test kit in the mail and my rail is at 60 top end and it got there instantly so response was not an issue It did bleed down to 45 over 30 min. i don't have any issue starting it. I don't know if it should stay at 60 or if bleeding down is normal.
Well you got one of the good ones I hope your luck keeps up.

Try cleaning the connection to the O2 sensor (located in the exhaust manifold I think very close to the head) - it is probably a pain to get to, but disconnect it, and give it a look at for corrosion etc.. A shot of electircal cleaner might help with cleaning it. Reconnect it, making sure it has a tight connection, and give it another try. Otherwise, replace the O2 sensor.
