Recalls

Thanks to Chevymgr's links, I see my HHR is exempt from the storage box recall, but doing a little sniffing, there was another recall related to the air bags (or lack thereof).
Simply opening my storage box, I see the design shows its exempt, but is there a quick way to look somewhere to see if the airbag recall was required & performed (or still needs to be done)?
Thanks folks

Give me the last 8 of your VIN and I can answer that.

appreciate the help, sir. 8S723935

Just out of curiosity, if the vehicle went into the dealers for unrelated service, would they automatically check the recall list to see if it was done, and if not, do it automatically? (it happened on my last vehicle, 2 recalls were made public about 6 weeks apart--I scheduled the first recall between the two notices, and they handled them both when it went in)

No recalls on your vehicle.

And yes they should always check. If one of my service advisors doesn't check the GM VISS and the vehicle has a voided or branded title or voided warranty, they get to pay for the repairs when the claim rejects. So they always check them.

I got the dash storage fix-it a few weeks ago and I'm not putting it on because I use that storage area and the piece takes up a bit of room. Anyone else feel that in an accident the lil box opening is the last of my worries?
