Help! Factory Tires for a 07 Lt2 ??
Hey,
I've got an 07 HHR Lt2 I bought with 12k miles on it "GM certified". Has 18k miles on it now. Gas milage really sucks.
Here's my question. What type tires came on it from the factory? Any other of you have Factory BF Goodrich Traction TA's?
I had a blowout last week on my left rear tire. The HHR has 17 in. BF Goodrich Traction TA's. Dealer wants to sell me replacement for $139.
What is the best way to get Goodrich to make it good?
In the owners info package was a warranty info sheet for Firestone/bridgestone tires.
nothing about BF Goodrich tires. The tires looked brand new when I bought it, thinking the tires had just been replaced, maybe not. Any Help,Ideas,Appreciated. Money is real tight, and I'm riding on that little spare..
THANKS!!

Maybe BFGoodrich will stand good for the tire, but since you didn't purchase them new, good luck!

I bought a used 2006 2LT almost a year ago. It had Firehawk 215x50x17 and I hated them. In March 2008 I bought some Traction T/As. I paid about $125 each and so far I love them. I had Nitrogen put in them shortly after installation. You most likely know BFG is a division of Michelin. Without having a valid road hazard policy you will most likely have to purchase a tire. I know it's seemingly not fair, but you know the dealer isn't helping.

The goodrich tires are not OEM. For whatever reason the Used Car department replaced them. I can't imagine it was a wear issue though at that mileage. GM warranty does not usually cover a blow out while driving, because normally that is a road hazard issue. The warranty is for defects only.
