Is this a common problem? I am also seeking 2008 HHR car manual any advise appreciated. Thanks
It is a 2008 HHR four door I think LS? I had to get battery jumped and w/i hour replaced and afterwards I noticed that my tire pressure indicator light was on showing error/warning. When I tried to look at tire pressure on information indicator would just show rf---no pressure indicated for any of the tires.

This bulletin is being revised to update the Important statement to reflect the new direction to no longer contact TCSC. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 08-03-16-001A (Section 03 - Suspension).

Condition
Some customers may comment that the key fobs are inoperative or that the TPM system is showing dashes as the reading for all four tires.

Technicians may find DTCs C0775, C0569 and B3105 set simultaneously in the RCDLR module.

In addition, the technicians may find Tire Pressure Monitoring sensors are unable to be programmed to the vehicle by adding or releasing pressure to the tire while the vehicles in the TPM learn mode.

Cause
These conditions may be caused by the following:

• The RCDLR may lose its transmitter and tire pressure monitoring data from its memory if a low voltage condition occurs on the vehicle.

• The ability for TPM learning by adding or releasing pressure to the tire has been disabled in the RCDLR.

Correction
Reprogram the RCDLR with an updated software calibration to address both issues listed above. This new service calibration is available on TIS2WEB using Service Programming System (SPS). As always, make sure your Tech 2® is updated with the latest software.

Important: If the Tech 2® could not establish communication with the RCDLR AND the programming event ended with error, attempt to reprogram in Service Programming System (SPS) by selecting "Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (TSB 08-03-16-001) with E4399 error -- Pass Thru Only".

Once the RCDLR module has been reflashed with the latest software and calibrations, the following may also be necessary:

• Relearn all keyless entry transmitters.

• Reconfigure the tire pressure placards and the tire type.

• Relearn the tire pressure sensors.

Refer to SI for the procedures to relearn transmitters, placard and tire type configuration and tire pressure sensor learn.

So the only way to resolve problems is to go to car dealership if I need Tech 2 to service? It is resolved but for future reference. If I need to get my battery jumped or replaced. I just went to an auto store due to the difference in pricing compared to dealership. Thanks for your help.

I read through common problems and it stated to use codes when referencing problem on forum where would one find codes?

No codes in this case probably. You get them with a OBD2 reader like a Tech2 but most are cheaper. In this case a Tech2 is required to obtain and flash new firmware. If your CheckEngineLight is on there will be a code associated with it.

The problem addressed in the TSB I posted usually comes from prolonged absence of power. After I had that problem fixed I did change/disconnect the battery several times.

Since you were asking for an Owner Manual, I should ask if you jump started the car properly as improper jumping might cause the same problem.

I am on painkillers at the moment; did that make sense?

The road side service representative jumped the car with small box. I didn't watch him so I don't know the answer. I was in the car waiting to start car which started right up. Sorry, I don't know what an OBD2 reader, Tech 2 I was thinking level 2 technician? I don't know what TSB is either? Sorry, I have only been on forum 2x. Newe to site. I did read post from others indicating problems fuse short with power steering but couldn't find anyone with the tire pressure sensor error not working.

OBD2= OnBoard Diagnostic systems that our HHR's have. You have to have some type of code "reader" to extract the codes from the computer. Anything from the very expensive professional Tech II scanner down to a phone app with a OBD port wireless adapter can pull codes.

FYI: most auto Parts stores will use an OBD Code reader and download the codes for free - of course they are looking to sell you the parts needed to do the repair (which is a fair deal). However, they can easily misinterpret the code downloaded.

So our typical advice is to get the ACTUAL code (ie: p0303), not the verbal description they may give you (ie: engine misfiring). Then post the actual code here - or use the search tool at the top of the page and search for the code here.
