Yes, over the last week I have reviewed every post in this thread several times to see if there was something I missed, the rubber plug is good, I have not done a leak down or compression test yet,

the problem didn't happen over time, it happened suddenly when I started it to leave for work. the symptoms keep pointing to a vacuum leak but other than the brake booster and the plug on the manifold I don't know where else to look. are there any other vacuum lines or sensors that I can check? I would rather eliminate the easy stuff before I remove the valve cover.

Just to clarify, here's where I'm at:

# cold start up Idles fine for a minute then fades into rough idle throbbing and eventually dies.
# P0300 and P0106 codes
# Cleaned throttle body and replaced gasket, replaced MAP sensor checked all fuses and relays (no change).
# changed oil and filter
# Replaced air filter, spark plugs, inspected plug boots (no change).
# Drained and replaced fuel (no change).
# Tested fuel pressure 58 PSI steady.
# checked all wiring connectors and rubber plug on manifold all good.
# tried new MAF sensor and ICM (no change) returned them to autozone.
# added injector cleaner to fuel.

Don't blast me for being more of an "analog mechanic" or for my use of "swap-trocics"

I used to be the courier that delivered "bigger hammers" to you guys. One day I delivered 3 different screws (that could have been stolen from any PC case) to a guy at $25 per delivery.

It must be a broken wire/bad connection. Maybe you got a bad MAP sensor. I can't think of a connection between engine temp and air pressure. Have you inspected the ECM connectors? Did you replace the MAP sensor seal? Remote possibility the TPS (integral to the TB) is flaky, it has it's own set of DTCs.

The freeze frame might be helpful, since it should report exactly what the BARO is.

It is basically that he calculated Air Flow doesn't agree with the actual Air Flow (MAF) because the ECM is getting bad data from the MAP sensor or the TP sensor.

Check the hose by the throttle body from the valve cover
