Rpm's bounce around at low speed

I recently purchased an hhr, and i notice at low speed around 30 the rpm's bounces back and forth, i can see it on the rpm gauge, ive read threw a bunch of these threads, ive cleaned throttle body and maf, nd it didnt seem to make a change, has anyone actually had any success on fixing this problem?

I have come to the conclusion with mine that it has to do with the pedal position sensor. I have the bounce at around 40 like most others and its been that way for years. It doesn't hurt anything just dont drive at that speed!

Oldblue said his dealership was able to do some computer work.

It was my transmission shop and my dealer, but maybe just a fluke my TCM needed a reflash.

The Service department.

You have an 08, so then that might have the new programming, depending on production date. Yes the service department did my reflash

Oldblue not to stray from the original topic but was there any benefit you saw from reflashing? Gregg is an '06 and I dont know if any benefit would be found for me by seeking a reflash. Just pondering.

The 40 mph bounce disappeared, other then that, no difference

HM.... Greg shifts nice and crisp, responsive... Just a bit bouncy at around 40.. I think I will continue with my backyard remedy of driving at 35 or 45 LOL
