SDM Fuse location 2009 HHR LT

On page 12-14 of the Haynes Manual for General Motors Chevrolet HHR 2006-2011 All models, section 10, subparagraph d) it states "Remove the Airbag fuse and the SDM fuse, both located in the BCM fuse/relay panel on the right side of the floor console (see Section 3).

I found this link in one thread about power windows. I'm not sure what year or package this is from. It shows fuse #24 as the SDM fuse.

The next link is a picture of the BCM cover diagram for my 2009 LT.
Notice that fuse # 24 has become the xm/onstar fuse.

Any thoughts on where the SDM fuse was moved to?
It's not in the engine compartment fuse box either.

No real thoughts.
So, why do you need to know ?

If you're trying to figure out your cars SDM fuse location, either look in your own fuse box for verification or in your owners manual.
The 2 pictures you posted up, you don't state what year/model one is from. It may not even be from a HHR if you just pulled it from someones gallery.

If you don't have an owners manual for your year HHR, they are available on this site, free for download.

FWIW. The SDM(Sensing and Diagnostic Module) shows to be underhood fuse #56 in my 2010 owners manual.

So. After looking in the 06,07,and 08 owners manuals, it appears that the SDM fuse was moved in 08 from BCM fuse #24 to engine compartment fuse #56, the location I stated above.
Looks like those 2 fuses were just "flip-flopped" for whatever reason.

Ok-Thanks. There is a discrepancy between the diagram in the lid of the engine compartment fuse box and the owners manual. The diagram in the lid shows fuse #56 (see link) to be for "Airbag" and the list in the owners manual shows fuse #56 to be for the SDM.

If you are trying to work on the airbag system the right way to deactivate the SDM is to disconnect the negative cable from the battery then wait 15 minutes for the capacitors to discharge.

I replaced the SDM, both side curtain bags and the roll over sensor with no ill effects. Don't be skeered.

You do know that a new SDM needs to be programmed? Read: trip to the dealer.
