Seat Back

last night I lowered the seat back on the passenger side all the way forward. I tried to put it back today, and it will lock in the full forward position and the full backward position. The latch will not lock in in the riding position. Does anyone have any ideas as to what's causing this? Thanks in advance.

Have a look under the seat, maybe something under there holding the latch from engaging.
Did I just make you say underwear?

Just thinking. Did you check the seat back adjustment lever on the side ?
Maybe it is not fully down to allow the seat back lock to engage it in place.
