I have experienced brake fading under wet conditions to the point that the next rotors will be cross-drilled. My car has the Brembo brakes on the front. Just wanted to share.
We're you autocrossing or something, you've really got to be driving at 11/10ths to get into brake fade, and wet conditions wouldn't cause it, the rotors are hot enough to vaporize the moisture almost instantly. |

Maybe hhrsskzoo5spd means something other than what most people mean by fade. Like "didn't stop as fast as I thought it would" not "seems to go faster the harder I push on the brake pedal" or "seems to stop doing anything at a certain point".
It's just been a long time since I heard anybody with a fade complaint. I am interested to hear more. (I think that sentence construction means "time for bed"). |
I ran mine at an autocross with monsoon conditions, I didn't have any fade, but I do have slotted and dimpled rotors.:smile:
