Angry Stalling motor. Larger than we know ?

Hello,
A coworker asked me if I had my engine die in my HHR yet? He explained his 06 did 3 times now and was going to take it to the dealer.
Well yesterday I rolled up to a stop sign and the engine died. I cycled the ignition and it been ok so far. I only have 1000 miles and we both have the 2.4L. I know of another person this has happen too. It all happens when comming to a stop.
The 1st thing I did when I bought it was to check all the relays and fuses under the hood. To my surprise and salesman they were all not seated.

Is this going to be a common problem with the HHR?
I thinks its strange that the 3 of use have the same problem. 2-06s 1-07

Craig~

I have a 2.4 with 4500 miles with no problems.
I did read this forum for a while before my purchase and read about the loose fuse problem and pushed them all in place when I got home with it.

Our Saturn L300 behaved in such a manner. It was a faulty oxygen sensor and stranded my wife and daughter several times before it was diagnosed and repaired.
Our HHR's fuses were all tightened fine, but we bought it used with 8K on it, so someone else did the teething pains.

Good luck with your's, hopefully you have many years off fine problem free driving, but this problem is not a good start.

No problems with mine - only at 3000kms though.

I did push down all my fuses when I got the car. I felt like a dork, but I did it anyway.

Wouldn't it be funny if the "fuse pushing down" trick was just made up by one guy trying to see how gullible HHR owners are...

DTC's stored in the ECM should point to the cause unless its a loose connection elsewhere, an ECM problem, or ignition coil/module problem
