This is a forum to learn and try things.
Then bounce back and tell us the results.

Yes, Liability.... You'd be amazed at who'll try to make a quick buck or two.

Guy gets a lawyer and will sue for anything.
Guy; "The fellow on the internet said it would work. Then my engine blow'd up !!!
Lawyer; "You got a strong case there. I'll sue that fellow for liability. "

OK then, in question, just PM the person and sue them.
I'm on other car forums and have never heard of this brought up.
So I guess I'll keep my mouth shut and let people figure it out by themselves.
Just remember follow what is been told on this forum.
Don't follow your brain.

Sadly its everywhere now, even mods and admins on facebook groups are adding the disclosure ( they were contacted by lawyers to do so ) People are sueing for everything from lack of common sense, bullying and just being butt hurt for being a snowflake. sad but true. Now be careful ignoring people....LOL

It's one thing for Cat Man to recommend an action and really different thing for the admin to recommend something. Most of the "people" out there think the admin and mods have some economic interest or actually work for GM.

Full disclosure: I make all my decisions free of any presumed liability of this forum or its contributors! :) OK that's out of the way :)

The news is not definitive yet. The very first start did, indeed, stumble and then settle down. Today it started up quick and smooth. Went for a five or six mile drive and everything seems normal.

The odd thing not related to the starting issue has to do with the tire pressure monitoring system. A few days ago I was getting an alarm to check the system and the RF wheel was not reporting to the system. I tried the setup process from the manual but could not get the RF to respond. Just a few days before I had four new tires put on and the front end aligned so I went back to the local tire independent dealer and they checked it out and said the TPMS in the RF had a dead battery and priced it at $60 for the one based on having just bought four tires otherwise they said it would be $70. At the other end of the town is a Town Fair which quoted me $150 to replace all four TPMS sensors. I was planning to do that today and lo and behold! It's all working fine again. Could the battery disconnect for 30 minutes have done that?

Will report back after I put a few miles on teh car and see if any codes show up. Thanks for all the helpful advice.

Yes, CatMan we all come here to learn something new, and my post had nothing to do with you or your recommendations. Now we do have policies to adhere to and sometimes, I have to remind people of them.

Skysailor, I just put four new TPMS sensors in the 18” rims for the summer a week ago the right rear went blank, I did a relearn and it’s been fine, musta been some kind a failure to communicate.

2010 models REQUIRE a special tool (EL-50448) to reset the tire positions. I think your OM must be 2007-2009. Who knows how many times the tires have been rotated since the last time the positions were set? Very rare for a tire store to bother with it, they think you have a PTloser and the reset themselves.
