Good detective work, let us know if that resolves the issue.

Well my last post was more of a question than a statement. Does anyone have any thoughts to back up my current theory before I commit to buying another part? :)

I meant that if you replace the throttle position sensor .

Send hellshotrod a PM , he should have a known good used one . Probably let you have it for the price of shipping.

Thanks Oldblue. I do understand that and appreciate your comment. Was just wondering if anyone had some encouraging words based on experience with this problem My comment was not meant as a criticism. Anyhow,
I just ordered a pedal with sensor from GM parts for about $50 shipped so we will see :) I will report back as to whether or not it resolves my problem. Cheers :)

Well, I am adding another good used part to my collection. The new accelerator pedal w/sensor did not resolve the issue. So I next pulled the fuse box apart to clean all the contacts in a desperate attempt and that too failed to resolve the problem. Done for the moment but I put a meter on my battery and I get 12.24 vdc. I have not had the battery load tested but could that be an issue?

The batteries age and condition was discussed way back in April, have that battery load tested, 12.2 volts is a dead battery, a load test will verify the cold cranking amps. These trucklets require at least 12.5 volts for starting. A 4 or 5 years old battery could have a dead cell or 2 .

Why a dealership, go to your local parts palace, get the battery load tested.

Yeah, what I meant was that after battery is confirmed or replaced via local parts/service, if I still have the problem, then I will look for a dealership :)
