Steering wheel harness wiring question

I have a 2006 HHR. I am trying to hook up audio controls, However the wheel harness for the 06 has been discontinued. Does anyone have a picture or wiring order of the main harness that plugs into the clock spring? I tried the 07-11 harness but its wired different. So at this point i just need to add the audio wires myself into the plug.

If you mean steering wheel controls, Dark blue is the signal, and white/black wire is "10 volt ref"...looks like a clip that should be those two wires for the right hand side steering wheel controls...hopefully this helps

The clock spring is right behind the steering wheel, allows for wiring connection to rotate with the wheel. I think I read on here that the different years use the same wire colors, just move them within the connector to match up.

I put a 06 harness in my 07. I had to swap wires 4 and 1 in the 4 pin connector then it all worked great. I would think all you have to do is the same with your 07 harness.

Here is a pic of the harness.

Here is a discussion about swapping wires on the harness from the add radio steering wheel controls thread

https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-tutorial-library-21/adding-radio-buttons-steering-wheel-1912/

The wire harness that you have will work what you have to do is move two wires because there is a early production and late production most 07 are late production. on the radio side of the harness you need to move wire from slot 1 to 4 & 4 to 1. ON THE HARNESS just swap them a black wire with a white tracer & a blue wire. Look at the harness on one side you can see holes that show you the wire locks, take a pin and just push down on the lock a little as you pull out the wire. do the same on the other one. swap wires and push back in the same way it came out with lock tap up. try to pull wire out if it just slide out look at lock tab and just pull up a little so when you push it back in it will catch in the hole that you pushed it down in OK take a drink of whatever you need.

The break in production between "Early 2007 HHR's" and "Late 2007 HHR's" occurs between VIN# 3GNDA23P26S546471 and VIN# 3GNDA23P26S546472 according to GM's part lookup software.

So I don't need to touch any wires on the main plug that goes into the clock spring?

It's been a long time ago when I install mine and my memory isn't what it use to be.
I know when I installed my harness as it came the radio buttons would not work.

I matched up the wire colors with my old harness but I can't remember which plug I switched the wire pins in. I do remember for sure the I just swapped two wires.
I would try the description that I sent you first.
