Storage bin fix $5.00

The storage bin on dash broke, the plastic latch broke. I know I could go buy a new one for about $50 but I figured out a work around and it didn't cost much. Went to license fasteners at auto parts store found one with Chevy signs for $4.96. drilled plastic fasteners out on lid. Cut the plastic screws to size and now have customized dash.

Glad to hear mine wasn't the only one that broke. I wasn able to gule mine back together. But I will keep this in mind if it happens again.

Looks good. I have a different fix I plan on doing if mine ever breaks.

heavy dose of RTV sealant (it's what I had lying around) fixed mine, but if I goes again (assuming it will at some point) this is what I'm doing! What a silly design...thanks for the pic/idea!

Thanks, most people who get into the car think it looks stock, but most don't even notice the change.
