I still don't know how a 2006 does not have a surge tank (look at 0:55 on the vid). I can't read a video description that is not posted.

P0300 Does NOT mean "random misfire" it means "unidentified misfire". Which can even be caused by driving on a rough road.

If you can explain where the water and carbon are coming from you will probably answer the question.

Please explain how it is possible to to replace the coil separately from the ICM.

If that is my old 2008 it is timing chain issues.

Coolant And oil pics.

Coolant color looks fine. Flash made it look more opaque but it’s clearer in reality.
Oil looks fine. And at proper level.
Check the Vin if you want.
12/05...2006 model year.
They look good to me. Not muddy or miscolored and coolant level is perfect.

As far as I know it’s is the original engine.

Looks like it has the corrosion to match.

Would any other angles help? Any other pics of different areas?

LEaning towards doing a timing chain kit for everything and while I’m at it valves and gaskets all around.

Basically turning into me rebuilding the whole engine it seems.

I'm going by the book, it thinks that 2.2L and 2.4 L both have surge tanks. Maybe another misteak.
