Which Sway Bar Links? FE3

I tried searching and didn't find a straight forward answer. I have a 2LT with the FE3 suspension code. Should I be using the 9" or 11" sway bar links? (Or 11" and 13" depending on where you buy them. UGH)

Edit: One of the suggested posts seems more straight forward than what I found in search. I'm going to get the shorter ones unless someone tells me otherwise.

Yes, in this case, shorter is better.

Can't find a straight forward answer? I know that I have poste 10 inch (9.86) at least 100 times. The part number usually ends in "252", the ones that end in "10" are 12 inch.
Most parts books are wrong or inaccurate.

Yeah. What came up when I searched wasn't helpful at all. When I posted the suggested posts were.

I would measure what I have and get those.

Also, I once replace just one at 30k miles, the other was fine when I sold the car w over 100k.

But what if a previous owner changed them with the wrong length links?

Yes of course. To be thorough, one could give the Vin to any GM parts department, and they should be able to give you the correct GM part number. They might even have one in stock you can measure. But if there's no problem with the current length, why not? The most important thing is that they both be the exact same length.

i suspect GM was not terribly consistent, and used whatever they had that would work.

GM parts books have the same errors that the others have. They will try to sell you the wrong LCAs for your SS and the wrong t-stat just like the guy at Advance.

The CORRECT links are 9.86 inches, commonly called 10 inch in the US. Doesn't matter what is i=on the car. The sway bar is a different story they seem to be whatever was in the box in the corner that day.

The reason is that 12 inch links exert more lateral force on the sway bar causing the stops to move out of place and then the sway bar can move laterally then the links make contact with the LCA. It is a lever thing, 12 inches multiplies the force exponentially more than 10 inch.
