Did you solve the issue i have a 2006 2.4 with 62000 mile and I'm getting the TC light and hard shifting but no engine light would swapping out the solenoid help and eliminate this issue

Check your coolant level and temp first. Then type "hard shifting" into the search box.

That should keep you reading for a couple of hours.

First thing to do is have the codes read. CEL showing or not, you could still have a trouble code stored in the computer.

Fwiw. There are 2 solenoids, not 1 as your post indicates. No sense in just throwing parts at it without a little diagnostics.
