Tan interior
 

We have tan leather in our 2LT and I've noticed the front seats becoming black on each side on entry. I thought it was just the drivers side and because I wear black pants daily, but then noticed the pass side doing the same thing. Any other owners experiancing this issue? What did you do to remove it. TIA

If it will come off, try a product called "Spray 9"

My dealer uses it, and it works like magic here at home.

Wow, I thought leather was a better option than the nasty cloth seats. Maybe not! I was considering getting mine recovered in leather at a cost of $900. I, too, have the tan interior and really hate it.

Don't forget to use a leather conditioner after the Spray 9. If not it may dry it out and possibly crack the leather.

Our '06 had gray leather and never showed anything of the same. I wouldn't take anything for our leather or tan..much better than the gray. I think the spray 9 is simular to Greased Lightning and we use it religously and after that Meguirer's leather wipes. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I had a malibu with tan leather, it requires more care.
I had black marks for two reasons. Dirt, but it can be cleaned off with a proper leather cleaner.
However, black marks are also caused by cracking and loss of the tan outer layer, that cant be fixed easily. Thats the reason I no longer want a tan leather interior.

You have to remember to wipe your butt! :lol: (jokeing!)

Believe it or not......Baby wipes work great on cleaning leather seats

I use Meguire's Leather conditioner (without the cleaner) or the Armor all leather conditioner gel on a terry towel. I can usually wipe the dirt away without much effort. I don't like to use chemicals or cleaners on the seats because I am afraid of drying and cracking the leather over time with continued use. The conditioner also keeps the seats soft and helps maintain the natural oils that prevent splits and cracks with age
