Temp. of digital coolant

Here we go again..My 2008 SS runs all the time between 210 and 220 degs..
My coolant is up and checks out ok..This about right..The outside temp is around 60 deg F..The electric fan always comes on when I stop and park for a few minutes..

Mine runs at 192 when moving. Will go up to 215 if I sit for awhile. Id assume the ss would run close to the same. Really not to high to worry about in my opinion.

Up until we moved to +1800' elevation it stayed at 199(over 3 years), since we moved it fluctuates between 203-212. after running 199 for so long, this still bugs me.

I really wonder just how accurate that read out is. My 2.2 will run in the low 180's in cool weather, 190's and into low 200's in hot weather. Its a 2007, and has been very consistant since new. I had the cooling system flushed and refilled with fresh dexcool, this past spring. Absolutely no difference after flushing etc. If I am stopped for any peroid of time, temps will slowly rise to about 218 or 219, the fan kicks in and temp drops to about 189 or so. Thats only if the ac is off, with the ac running fan runs all the time and temps stay pretty consistant even when stopped.

Pretty much 187-194 on mine. A little higher if just sitting and idling but that would be normal because of not having air flow across the radiator.
Only time my fan comes on is if the compressor is engaged.(AC,defrost mode)

Mine tends to run as hot as the op's car. Especially when it's 50-70 outside. If it's hotter or cooler outside then the car will usually stay under 210 unless it is really hot outside.

As far as the accuracy of the gauge. I believe its right on. I have an obd adapter and according to the app on my tablet it is exact.

the temps are about right....as for the fan, it should kick on when you sit. if it didn't, you would overheat

I tried to buy some that digital coolant, but it was too expensive - they only sold it a bit at a time. ;)

I got some of that old 8-bit coolant, but it only works in my Mario Kart.
