Thermostat failed again. No a/c temp. gauge on zero. Does the thermostat go in a certain way? Does it matter or just put it in.

 

It only goes in one way. ie: take old one out - note how it is located, put the new one in the same way.

 

That's what I mean, you can put it in but it runs 360deg.

I mean turns around 360 deg.

 

It drops in, not tab a into slot c.

They normally fail when the inner rubber gasket falls off and gets stuck holding the valve open. There are models available that don't have the inner gasket.

BTW, see that "EDIT" button in the bottom right of your post? Guess what it is for.

 

Thermostat had rubber inner O ring blown out.

 

Look at your other thread about the thermostat and get the correct GM one from the dealership, look at it before you buy it, ensure it doesn't have the rubber piece!
