Quick question: 2011 LT HHR…does replacing a bad tire sensor require learn tool or will the car learn it by procedure…?

2011 requires the tool. Owner Manual via the link in my sig.

I just replaced 2 sensors, and I had to use the tool to follow the procedure to excite the sensors
