Traction control light

Ok took my 2006 hhr to mechanic due to this light coming on, they said something about a camshaft actuator position solenoid. Where do I purchase this and cost. Live in Missouri. But of course when they drove it, light stayed off. Need help. And will replacing this make the light go out?

First off - what was the Check Engine light code that was downloaded?

If it was P0010/11 or P0013/14 then a Camshaft actuator solenoid is definitely suspect. However there are two of them - and the code will tell you with one it is.

If you do not have the code, then it may not be the solenoid, and you might be just throwing your money away.

So, post the code or check it out against the link amcford posted (good one man - thanks)

Good job with the thread link amcford!

But as Don pointed out, when posting a question about a problem, if you've had the codes pulled...post 'em up.

"something about..." is ambiguous enough to be confusing to say the least.

With HHR's, you live and die by the OBD II trouble codes.
