Uneven Brake pad wear 2006 LS

Hi folks, took my tires off to rotate and inspect brake pads today and found that the right hand front pads are roughly 20 to 25% more worn than the left./

Any idea as to why this might happen?

The pads are the second set, OEM changed about 55K to these from Kragen. I'm totally satisfied with the longevity of the pads and performance.

I AFRAID, you need to disassemble the caliper with a view to piston revision.
Piston may not work for some reason:
1. Rubber sleeve destroyed. Dirt penetrated into the slot of the piston. Scratched the surface of the piston and the piston moves out of alignment.
2. Your pads were thin. Piston strongly sticking out of its socket and partially covered with rust. After replacement brake pads - piston gone deep into the nest and rusty surface prevents smooth movement.
The first is treated by replacing, the second - a simple polishing.
But do not disassemble your calipers immediately, first listen to your feelings. If you feel the vibration when braking - your calipers (or discs) real sick.
Another possible - uneven pressure fluid in the lines. But this - higher mathematics. I do not know the reasons and methods of treatment.

Either as geg says bad calipers/binding slides or, bad hub can do it.
