Ok, I will just say it, I'm a dunce. Top of engine under air filter box. Next to cylinder 1 is a small box with a vacuum line in front and back and they use snap on connections. WTF is that thing called? I need to get it and likely the lines replaced cause the air leak is causing havock on my engine. Please help me.

 

That's the purge valve from the gas tank vent.
To check for proper operation, remove and blow through.
Should be blocked.

 

Other names are EVAP purge valve, canister purge valve. NOT canister vent or EVAP vent.

Most likely not the line , but the valve has failed .

get the AC Delco valve, I have had two other brands fail in me, there are counterfeit parts on Amazon and fleabay, you will not be saving any money.
