I have water in the floor board, passenger side, every time it rains. Why?

Because you have water leaking in. If your question really is how can I find information about water on the passenger side floor then:


If you have a 2006 the search term would be "butyl patch". If not that and you have a sunroof the search term would be "sunroof drain".

I had the “butyl patch” problem last year and fixed it with a homemade piece of aluminum (ref. my several posts). It seemed that the problem returned this year, but I was pleased to learn that this year’s problem was merely a clogged AC drain. Diagnosis of it for me was very confusing because the pass-side floor got wet after rain. For a while, I was convinced that I had a windshield leak. But then I checked this forum and learned how to fix the clogged AC drain. The symptoms occurred after rain because I had the AC running in hot, humid weather.
Here are my words of wisdom:
The glove box comes out easily with the removal of just one screw.
If the pass-side floor is wet and the cabin air filter is dry, then the problem is NOT due to the “butyl patch” on the cowl.

Another may be to blame for the door seal.
At the time, GM even withdrew their cars for a free replacement of the seal.
Water leaks in the seal, Water accumulates on the rubber hose - "accordion" (wiring inside the hose) and flows into the cabin. This was one guy from Belarus.
Sometimes, it is better to use silicone grease. Just check "accordion" after rain, it wet or not.
